I realized then that I felt called to support families during the transition period of welcoming a new person into the world and into their lives. That experience led me to train as a birth and postpartum doula, eventually training as a student midwife in a birth center outside of Dallas, Texas. It was the opportunity I had as a student midwife to watch comprehensive maternity care support a family prenatally to 12 weeks postpartum, that led me to hone my area of expertise to postpartum care. Shortly after, I trained with Newborn Care Training Academy and become certified as an International Certified Newborn Care Specialist. Pacific Moon Newborn Care was created from my desire to provide highly skilled and personalized postpartum care to families. Having worked with more than 50 families, I know that every family’s individual needs and desires should be met with enthusiasm and skill. The variety in my experience and training has prepared me to guide parents through their unique challenges and assess each situation with confidence. I have comprehensive knowledge on breastfeeding support, bottle feeding, sleep conditioning, premature infant care, and newborn growth and development. I also have extensive experience with multiples, having worked with almost twenty sets of twins. I love seeing parents and their sweet new additions thrive. Every family deserves nonjudgmental support that alleviates worry and provides them with confidence for the years to come. I continue to further my education in order to provide families with the most relevant and evidence-based information.
